Mary Bartnicki is an 85-year-old former hairdresser who rose to stardom after a video was uploaded to YouTube of her and her sisters reacting to the Kim Kardashian sex tape. The video immediately went viral and Mary found herself whisked to New York to appear on all of the major talk shows.

The video also caught the eye of Oprah Winfrey, which landed Mary and her sisters their own show on the Oprah Winfrey Network. After one season and a special featuring Tom Bergeron and Pharrell, Mary continued on her quest for stardom.  Several of her videos featuring her unique perspective of the world right from her kitchen also achieved viral greatness including her trying to twerk like Miley Cyrus, which was chosen by Huffington Post as one of the Funniest Videos of 2014.  The girls were also hired to be field correspondents for The Queen Latifah Show and were later tapped to star in a digital Volkswagen campaign that became so popular online, Volkswagen decided to use them in their National campaign, ‘2015: Model Year End Sale Event’.

Whether it’s reading the lyrics to the newest Drake song, unboxing a new pair of “Yeezy’s”, or her trying to become the new Carl’s Jr.  Spokesperson, “Grandma Mary” has become a pop culture guru. Mary lives alone in Los Angeles and continues to mourn the loss of her Polish-American husband Jack who she lovingly remembers as the love of her life and a real pain in her ass.  Together they have two grown sons, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  As a born and raised Italian, she loves cooking, plays a mean game of Texas hold’em and enjoys eating buffets and… being famous.
